Lab Technician
Role Summary
The Lab Technician is responsible for performing calibrations, maintenance, and technical support for laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ISO 17025. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate, repair, and clean mass flow meters, controllers, pressure gauges, pressure controllers, and air sampling pumps to ensure precision and reliability.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on lab equipment, including instrument cross-checks and proficiency testing under the supervision of the Lab Manager.
- Provide constructive feedback on calibration procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy when requested by the Lab Manager.
- Document calibration results and maintain detailed records using specialized software.
- Assist customers with complex technical inquiries that go beyond the expertise of the sales team, ensuring excellent customer support.
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical background in metrology, electronics, physics, or fluid dynamics.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of university education in a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience demonstrating strong technical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Internal training provided; external certification is not required but may be advantageous.
- Keen attention to detail to perform precise calibrations and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a controlled laboratory environment; no travel is required.
