Access Control & Equipment Security Measures
How the laboratory restricts and monitors physical access to protect equipment integrity and measurement validity.
Physical Access Control
The laboratory is secured by a badge-controlled door. Only employees who have been specifically authorized and completed the required training are granted badge access. Authorization is tied to demonstrated competence — being an employee of the company does not automatically grant access to the lab.
The door is camera-monitored and an electronic access log is maintained. The log records who enters the lab and when, providing an auditable trail that satisfies the access control requirements of clause 6.3.4.
Accompanied Access
Other employees and external service providers — such as cleaning services — may enter the laboratory but only when accompanied by an authorized and trained employee. The accompanying employee is responsible for ensuring that the visitor does not interfere with equipment or ongoing measurements. Visitors must have a valid reason to be in the lab; casual access is not permitted.
